Finding programs, made easier.
Comcast's nationally-deployed video On Demand service is a high revenue generator for the company. Without the ability to quickly deploy new guide software the Information Architecture available on existing legacy Set Top Boxes is extremely important to finding the breadth and depth of content available. The idea: break navigation into (by sub-genre, by title, by network ect). Place facets in the same location on every screen, so users could quickly scan and locate the way they wanted to browse no matter what main category of content was selected.
My Role
• Condensed all menus into a new IA for On Demand.
• Documented + presented the IA to the business.
• Collaborated with the research team to test designs.
